OOC- Ok let this be an example to all of you wanting to create a character.
Name: Akul (pronounced A-cool)
Race: Gray Wolf
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Loyalties: Wolves (Canine Leader)
Home: Akul lives in the portion of the forest along with his pack.
Appearance: Akul is a standard Gray Wolf. His fur is white with a large grey portion around his mid-section running down to his tail. His tail is white on the underside, and grey on the top. His snout is slightly shorter than most wolves, which the other wolves of his pack teased him about when he was young. His teeth are yellowing and slightly bloodstained at the tips. He has a normal wolf build, many of his pack are more muscular than him. His legs are also slightly longer than most wolves, allowing him to run faster than them with ease. His eyes are like a mix of yellow and hazel.
Personality: Akul is a sociable wolf, knowing every member of his pack through and through. He is friendly most of the time, helping others and lending a hand. He befriends all creatures of the canine family, Labradors, German Shepard’s, Dingo’s, and other wolves to name a few.
When he is fighting his personality changes altogether. His eyes change from their normal friendly look to a fiery look of determination and hatred. He leads his followers, relentlessly killing felines, marine animals and other creatures. He howls a bloodcurdling cry that even chills his own bones and strikes fear into his enemies hearts.
Lifestyle: Akul lives a normal life for a wolf leader. He patrols his lands along with the sentries, attacking and sometimes killing intruders. He enforces his laws and lets no one disobey them as long as he’s around. He has no specific game size unlike some wolves that hunt only animals of certain proportions. His throne is a rock, sticking out of the side of the mountains. It is large enough to hold 150 wolves, so therefore it is also their meeting place. He sometimes feels pitiful for smaller creatures like squirrels and other rodents seeing as they don’t hibernate during the winter anymore because of their human genes.
History: Akul was born near lake Minnow during one of the harshest storms the island has ever seen. Huddling close to his mother and whimpering he stayed safe with her for the three days that the storm lasted. One of his brothers died during the storm.
He lived a normal life, wrestling with his brothers and learning how to hunt small rodents, his mother always watching over him. He loved to play in the long grass, stalking his prey, or sometimes his siblings when they played games. His favourite thing however, was a rock he saw jutting out from the side of the mountains, a hundred feet in the air.
The elders warned him of the rock. It was where their first king fell to his death. There was said to be an evil spirit residing there, killing anyone who walked upon its surface. He never lost his fascination with it though, always longing to see what was on top.
His father was king, and had been for thirty years, and Akul being the oldest of his litter, was therefore the prince. He often watched his father doing his duties, patrolling and once watched him lead an army in battle. He was fascinated.
Ten years passed and Akul was burdened with more and more duties as prince. He now patrolled, acted as a messenger, and trained with the army. Him and his father were often teased because of Akuls shorter snout, but it wasn’t that much smaller. Akul decided they were just jealous.
Nine years later the Feline king declared war on the canines using their superior night vision to their advantage. The security of the canines land was tightened, but still guards were constantly killed and innocents murdered.
Finally the day came when they would fight the war deciding battle. It was midnight and the felines spies reported the canine army amassing, and ready to attack. Quickly the felines readied their army and retaliated. They felines had better vision in the night, and most of them were stronger than the canines like wolves and tigers, but the Canines fought back, outnumbering them.
The battle raged for three hours when the fatal blow was struck. Akuls father was fighting the feline king, a leopard, outmatched in speed and strength. His chest was ripped open, killing him slowly and painfully. Everyone on the battlefield heard the cry as Akul howled when he saw his father fall. Enraged he took on the Feline king himself.
Akul was outmatched in every way imaginable but something inside of him pushed him on, urging him to not give up. Akul took a staggering blow to the face from the king, leaving a huge gash bleeding. That was when he saw an opening. He lashed out with his claws and wounded the king deep in the chest causing him to stagger back. Taking his chance, Akul knocked him onto his back and killed him with a fatal blow to the throat.
The felines, by that time were scared and worn out, not having the stamina of the canines and retreated, running back to their kingdom. The canines, however didn’t celebrate, instead all eyes were on Akul. He walked slowly through the crowd towards the mountains.
When he returned to the forest, still keeping his old pace towards the mountains, all the innocents eyes were also on him. Undoubtedly deserters had told them of the kings death. It started to rain hard as he reached the base of the mountain and looked up at the rock, His rock.
He climbed up tripping and slipping but never faltering. He reached the stone and walked to the tip, all of the canines watching him. He howled. It was long and mournful, making several of the crowd weep. Akul was king now, and the rock was his throne.
